Google Play Music: Work Timer

This UNOFFICIAL extension is NOT created by google and relies on the google play music website code remaining the same. This means that at some point it WILL stop working.

This extension is in BETA which means it is not completed and there may be bugs when using it. All feedback is welcome to help complete this extension.

This extension is designed for people who listen to google play music whilst they work, and want to use the pomodoro work timing technique. Pomodoro simply means working for 25 minute sessions, taking a 5 minute break at the end of each. The idea is that you always break before you become too fatigued, meaning you can work for longer periods overall with a minimum of break time.

This extension adds a simple timer box to https://play.google.com/music with a start/stop button. The timer shows how long you have worked, at at the end of the work session it pauses your music. Optional notifications and sounds can be used at the end of a work session to notify you that your work session is over in addition to pausing your music. The notification can show you the progress of your break so that you know when to return to work.

To change the duration or work/break times or turn on/off the notifications and sounds visit the options page. You can also set key-bindings for the extension at the bottom of the chrome extensions page. The key-bindings allow you to play/stop the timer, and show how long you have worked in a notification.
