A Chrome Extension that operates on HuffingtonPost.com to reduce the number of things you need to keep up with!
Typically HuffPo's front page contains 1-6 Kardashian-related stories. The Entertainment and Celebrity pages many more. The deKardashianizer removes these stories to let you focus on the important items of the day. You can also add or remove keywords from consideration so if you're tired of the Bieber or Miley Cyrus for example, you can easily dispatch them to the dustbin of history.
The extension runs on every HuffingtonPost page load and does its work in 0.1 to 0.4 seconds. Since HuffingtonPost is continuously refreshing stories, the deKardashianizer will awaken every few minutes to filter out any new content you're not interested in. The extension's icon will only appear inside the URL bar on HuffingtonPost pages.
As a side benefit, the deKardashianizer also binds the ESC key to the close button on light boxes (these are used when you click "quick read" on an article) so that you can more easily dismiss them, facebook style. This has nothing to do with filtering but it's a feature I always wanted in HuffPo so I just added it here.
