Amazon Alexa, the powerful virtual assistant found inside Echo speaker, is now available in your browser! It can play music, answer your questions and even control your smart devices, and all you need is an Amazon account and a microphone. That means you don’t need to buy an Amazon speaker to enjoy Alexa.
To get started, simply install Echo Go for Chrome, login with your Amazon account, and click the microphone button.
Instead of saying "Alexa" though, click and hold the microphone button to speak your command. Alexa will process the command and respond just as she would from the Echo, Echo Dot or Tap speakers.
You can use Echo Go to play music, make calls, ask questions, check your calendar, weather, traffic and sports scores, manage to-do and shopping lists, control compatible smart home devices, and more.
