goto.my is a simple extension that lets you define custom keywords that will navigate you to websites. If it can't understand where you're trying to go, it will optionally paste those keywords in a URL and redirect you there.
Unlike the default Omnibox search, goto.my:
- Has fuzzy matching ('tfts' will match 'talesfromtechsupport', and 'rpogramming' will match 'programming')
- Allows you to specify what keywords map to what websites ('snoo' can navigate you to 'https://reddit.com/r/talesfromtechsupport')
- *Requires* you to specify what keywords map to what websites (a one-off search for "hold mail" won't kick mail.provider.com from the top of your list)
- Doesn't learn over time (so typing 'snoo' now should get you to the same place as typing 'snoo' in a year)
- If your query didn't match anything, goto.my will paste it in whatever URL you want, without changing your default search provider (great for internal DNS in the format of 'foo/website_name', or 'https://website_name.part1.aws.part2.ilikeverbosity.lan')
Extore is a team of professionals who are passionate about creating extensions for web browsers. This devotion also gives us opportunity to appreciate work of other people. We get inspired by useful, open source extensions made by developers all over the world. Our strong belief is that one should share helpful add-ons with others. That’s why we’d like to present you our ever-growing list of favourite extensions that have inspired us. Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
