Displays the number of unread messages in your Gmail™ inbox. You can also click the button to open your inbox.

The only difference between this extension and the official version is that the icon turns gray when you have no unread emails, rather than staying red. All other behavior is identical to this extension's counterpart.
This fork was created mainly for my own personal use, but feature requests are welcome.
