Email Analysis allows users to see the hops that an email goes through from the sender to get to you. The hops are visualized with markers on Google Maps. The relevant headers are also shown. It will also allow you to analyze the attachments in the email for viruses or spam (if they somehow avoid Gmail's spam/virus detectors) using the VirusTotal api.
The main purpose is to basically visualize where the email is coming from. You can determine if an email is fishy if it originates from a location outside of the country, etc.
