This very simple extension prevents websites from forcing you to download PDF files. Instead, they display in a tab with the built-in PDF viewer. You can then choose to save it to your hard drive with a click of the save button, or not.
A note of caution : some websites display PDF files inside a hidden element on the page to initiate their forced download. With this extension enabled, the file won't be downloaded, but won't be visible either since it is hidden. There is not solution at the moment other than temporarily disabling the extension while you download the PDF.
I might work on a blacklist system that allows you to disable the extension for some domains automatically.
