What is JiTIST?
JiTIST is Google Chrome Extension which provides users with Just-In-Time Internet Safety Tips. Due to the intelligent embedding of Tips on the actual visited pages, most Tips are directly relevant to his/her current needs.
Hence, Tips are always presented exactly when needed and exactly where needed.
The author believes that in opposite to restrictions, filtering and blocking, Education is the key to Internet Safety. By reminding its users about good Internet Safety practices, users will be able to use the Internet in an informed and wise way.
Although the original purpose behind JiTIST was for a research study, JiTIST will continue to be available for all the users who wish to make use of it!
How are Tips presented to the user?
Internet Safety Tips are embedded in the visited pages themselves. Hence, while the user is browsing, occasionally the user will be presented with a Tip, in the form of an animated icon. On clicking this icon, the user may read the short textual Tip. Increasingly a Picture, a Video or further Links are provided to enable the user in reading more and learning more about that Safety topic.
How often are Tips presented?
Tips are presented to the user in a particular frequency, typically once every 30mins. Depending on the user's Interaction with the Tips, JiTIST will provide Tips more often or less often accordingly. Since JiTIST is a Just-In-Time tool, JiTIST does not include the option to browse tips.

That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download.
