Description

Platforms: How Do You Do This in SAS? is one of a series of eBooks about SAS software programming focusing on frequently asked questions and answers about SAS on Windows, UNIX, Linux and z/OS, illustrated by code samples which can be sent by email directly from the app. It is designed to encourage users to contribute questions some of which will be included in future versions of the app. There are controls to select specific questions, move to the previous or next question, decrease or increase the font to suit the user's preference, and send emails requesting answers to questions not yet included in that version of the eBook.

The questions, with answers, included are:
1. Introduction
2. About the Author: Philip R Holland
3. Which platform is SAS running on
4. Which version of SAS is being used
5. Which folder is SAS running in
6. Base SAS differences between Windows, UNIX, Linux and z/OS
7. Transferring SAS data sets between Windows, UNIX, Linux and z/OS
8. Transferring SAS formats between Windows, UNIX, Linux and z/OS
9. Transferring SAS templates between Windows, UNIX, Linux and z/OS
10. Importing text files from different platforms into SAS data sets
11. Why can I see my data set in Windows SAS and not in UNIX SAS

What has inspired us?

Extore is a team of professionals who are passionate about creating extensions for web browsers. This devotion also gives us opportunity to appreciate work of other people. We get inspired by useful, open source extensions made by developers all over the world. Our strong belief is that one should share helpful add-ons with others. That’s why we’d like to present you our ever-growing list of favourite extensions that have inspired us. Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
