Description

Memorizing lots of passwords sucks.

Writing down passwords sucks.

Using the same password everywhere sucks.

Using password vaults sucks.

Two factor authentication is expensive. And, therefore, sucks.

Introducing Passable.

Passable is a Chrome extension that allows you to generate highly secure
passwords.

You put in a long secret phrase that doesn't change.

For each site, you put in a short unique nickname. It should be something
easy for you to remember.

You can generate passwords in lengths of 40, 28, 20 or 14 characters.
While it would be ideal and most secure to always use 40 characters, some
websites have length limits or pattern requirements. The 40 and 20
character length passwords are all lower case and use only the numbers
0-9 and the letters a-f. The 28 and 14 character length passwords are a
mix of uppercase and lowercase and use the full spectrum of ascii numbers,
letters, and symbols.

NOTE: None of the information in the secret, nickname, or password fields
is ever stored to your local disk or anywhere on the Internet. You have
the option of keeping the secret in your browser's private memory area for
convenience.

What has inspired us?

Extore is a team of professionals who are passionate about creating extensions for web browsers. This devotion also gives us opportunity to appreciate work of other people. We get inspired by useful, open source extensions made by developers all over the world. Our strong belief is that one should share helpful add-ons with others. That’s why we’d like to present you our ever-growing list of favourite extensions that have inspired us. Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
