Go Play Chess is a free, fast, light weight online chess web server allowing chess players to play free chess from a browser.
There are no ads and there are no fees. The only thing required to start playing free chess is to sign up and activate an account through email. Go Play Chess uses web sockets so a modern browser is required to play chess. Go Play Chess has been tested on Chrome, Firefox, IE, Microsoft Edge, and Opera.
Go Play Chess currently supports several different time controls for bullet, blitz and standard chess games. Pre-move and chat are supported as well. The rating system used is Glicko-2. Players can match other players by sending seeks in the lobby with specified rating ranges and time controls. When a game is finished it can be reviewed in a player's profile. Go Play Chess is supported on desktop, tablet mobile devices.
