This add-on allows you to insert randomly generated UUID values in your Spreadsheets.
Usage:
1) Select some cells
2) Click on Add-ons menu > UUID generator > Insert UUID in selected cell(s) UUIDs
UUIDs, or Universally unique identifier, is a "an identifier standard used in software construction. A UUID is simply a 128-bit value. The meaning of each bit is defined by any of several variants." and "the intent of UUIDs is to enable distributed systems to uniquely identify information without significant central coordination." This add-on is based on node-uuid node library. This add-on generates version 4 UUIDs as defined in RFC4122, with a set of basic default options.
