Minecraft is a 3D sandbox video game which was created by a Swedish person named Markus "Notch" Persson. It was continually developed by Mojang Studios.

In 2009, the public alpha for personal computers was released with Jens Bergensten taking over development. The official version was public in November 2011.

This game has become one of the best - selling games around the world with 200 millions copies sold across all platforms and 126 millions monthly active users as of 2020. Moreover, this game is appropriate for all ages, including both casual and veteran gamers

Minecraft is just as user-friendly to the gamer who has been gaming for years and also to someone whose first game is Minecraft. It is a game that is easy to learn, but hard enough to master.

Moreover, this game has no specific missions or goals to accomplish so you can choose the way to play the game. You can simply enter the game and create your own world or choose other modes for more challenges.

Minecraft: Guide for beginners

Although the title is for beginners, in this part I will provide some information (tricks) that even the veteran gamers may not know. So, just keep reading and you may find something surprising.

2.1 Tips for players: how to start the game

Because Minecraft has no specific goals or missions to complete, all that gamers can do is use their imagination and choose how they will play the game. Follow these steps and you can start to get used to Minecraft.

2.1.1 Find and cut trees

To those who enter the game the first time, I suggest you should find trees and collect wood right after you start the game. The most important reason is that you will need wood for almost everything you want to craft.

Besides, trees are the most common item in the world and are sure to be found nearby your spawn location. There are six different types of tree named: Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Dark Oak, Acacia. Anyway, you don’t need to care about their names, just cut whatever near you.

2.1.2 Build a shelter (simply a house)

This is another important thing for your survival. Before roaming around in the world of Minecraft, remember to build a shelter first. Because, when the night falls, Minecraft becomes so scary with the mobs, one should have a shelter to save themselves from dying.

Your first shelter can be made of dirt. Yes, you didn’t read it wrong. We will build our first house from dirt - which we are standing on. To do that, just aim a target, press and hold until the required time, and you can pick it up if it is near.

2.1.3 Hunt for foods

Just like a normal person, in Minecraft you also need to eat something. Food is the most important factor for your survival as this will help you replenish your health and will make sure you can run.

There are several animals that you easily find and hunt in the game such as: pig, chicken, sheep, cow,...

One interesting thing is that you can choose to be a vegan, that sounds cool, right? Staying healthy by collecting apples from the trees or stealing bread at the nearby village.

2.1.4 Start to craft something necessary.

Actually, right after you have enough wood (at least 3) you can start to make the first thing which is wood planks. Open your inventory by clicking on the three little dots at the bottom of your screen. Choose the crafting menu which is shown as a small brown box on the right side.

Pull the wood that you’ve just cut and drop it on any of the four boxes. You will see that these are converted into four ‘wood planks‘. These planks will be useful in the future.

Making a crafting table is also necessary. This table helps you unlock a new ability which is combining two or more materials of the different or the same type. To create this table, you will need 4 wood planks (any type is possible). Open the inventory, put 4 planks into 4 boxes, they will be transferred into a crafting table. Pick that table and place it into your inventory.

In your shelter, you should craft a bed. As we mentioned above, the night is so scary and terrible full of mobs. The best way to survive for beginners is trying to stay away from them. When you have a bed, it helps you fall asleep and skip the nights.

However, you can make the bed only when you get enough wool which can be received by killing sheeps. 3 wools and 3 planks are what craft your bed. When the process is done, pick the bed in the inventory and set it up in your shelter
