This extension provides few tools to help users evaluate credibility, trustworthiness and reliability of any website and it's content.
Using this tool user is able to do a quick automated credibility evaluation where an algorithm gathers and rates available information for a given address. Results are presented as percentage value.
It utilises information from Web Of Trust (WOT) - a well known and community driven catalogue containing reputation and safety data for websites.
It is currently used by 6 milion users so information is quite comprehensive. For more information check their website https://www.mywot.com. Scoring algorithm is still a work in progress but that should improve with each release.
Project also provides access to own database that is somehow similar to WOT but focused more on credibility, quality of content and fact-fullness of sources. Long term goal is hopefully to to gather a handy collection of reliable and unreliable sources and contribute to better quality of the information that is out there.
As such this tool also gives a possibility to report malicious and unreliable sites by users.
Currently focus is mainly on Polish internet and media sources (however extension is build with global content in mind).
You can run credibility evaluation for active page using (Ctrl+Shift+K) key combination. Result will be presented in new tab.
