Planetarium - explore the stars and planets!
Planetarium shows you more than 1500 stars - this is each star up to the value of "+5". These stars are the brightest in the night sky, those that you can see with your naked eye on a good dark night away from city lights.
HOW TO USE:
Click and drag the mouse to look around the sky. Press again to stop. Move the pointer over the star or planet to show its name, its constellation, its brightness (scale) and how far it is in the light years (LY) or astronomical units (AU). Also listed are the values of the star or planetary right ascension (RA) and declination (Dec) - convenient if you have a telescope!
You can also adjust the time and place of viewing to see the sky anywhere in the world.
Use these keyboard shortcuts to control:
Hide / show constellations - C
Hide / show the sky daylight - S
Adjust the year - Y or shift + Y
Adjust the month - M or shift + M
Adjust the day - D or shift + D
Adjust the hour - H or shift + H
Adjust minute - N or shift + N
Latitude adjustment - L or shift + L
Adjust the longitude - K or shift + K
In addition, use the arrow keys ← ↑ ↓ → on the keyboard to navigate through the sky. Press F to switch to full screen mode.
