にインスパイアされて、この正規化ツールのyelp（http://www.yelp.co.jp/）版を作ってみました。
食べログと同様に、yelpの評価スコアも高得点側に偏っています。
”私たちが推薦する約80%のレビューが３つ星かそれ以上の評価なのは、そもそもほとんどのユーザーがポジティブなレビューを書くからです（yelpのFAQより）”
FAQの記事によると、下記のように4ポイント以上が約70%を占めております。
1ポイント：13%
2ポイント：8%
3ポイント：12%
4ポイント：25%
5ポイント:42%
4ポイント以上という条件で検索すると、全体の約7割が４ポイントなのであまり意味がない、、ということで使いやすくするためにボリュームゾーンの４ポイント以上を３つに分け、下位33%のグループに位置する3ポイントは１として、あとは
0.5ポイントごとに割り振って、以下のような正規化を行います。
3ポイント以下 → 1ポイント
3.5ポイント → 2ポイント
4.0ポイント → 3ポイント
4.5ポイント → 4ポイント
5.0ポイント → 5ポイント
このような正規化をしてくれるChrome Extensionを作成しました。
以下、機能説明です。
・評価ポイントを表す★の画像の部分が正規化後のポイントに自動変換されます。
・米国版のyelp.com、日本版のyelp.co.jpどちらも対応しています。
・★の絵の上にマウスを持っていくと"original is 3.5のように元のポイント数が確認できます。
・一部写真画像の上に載せられる★などの画像は変更されません。
