Erlon Helper

Description

This extension is specifically for PCL Contact Bonding Agency. This extension is not approved for use by Insurance Automation Group.

Note: There are a number of customizations that are specific to my agency, e.g. hard coded values that are agency specific. That will result in some parts not working unless modified in the code. Someday I hope to have all that in a configuration file.

The Erlon Helper is intended to make using Erlon faster and easier. Mostly by saving many clicks of the mouse by making links to things much more conveniently placed and using popup windows rather than navigating to new pages. Also, it reduces confusion by hiding the things we don't use and coloring fields that are optional and required. Feel free to download the code to produce your own custom extension since this one is customized to how we use Erlon at PCL.

Latest changes v1.10.0:
o Updated for new Erlon URL: erlon.iautomatesurety.com, but is backwards compatible

Previous changes v 1.9.8:
o Added principal property fields for bondability, client since and overnight shipping
o Most common forms are displayed when generating forms
o Run reports from report tab in principal, obligee and surety tabs
o View report content from browser without saving report
o All reports now download unzipped, properly named with date in filename!
o Contract bond page save updates the bond tab rather than complete reload of page

Key improvements include:
o Search by bond number, principal name and job name directly from menu bar
o Many links now open in popup window to reduce having to go back and forth
o New buttons for dividends and quoting on principal page open in subwindow
o Recent principals menu shows your recently accessed principals
o Added tabs back to inactive principals so that bonds can be viewed
o File folders go straight to upload files when opened and empty
o Hidden, highlighted and renamed fields to make bond processing easier*
o Highlighted fields now turn green when filled with a value
o Modified fields on contract bond pages are given a red outline
o Alerts show at bottom of window rather than popping up in front of work
o Special needs show up at bottom of contract bond screen, like alerts
o Obligee and principal selections on contract bond page are now autocomplete
o Create dividend quickly from contract bond screen
o Generate open bonds Excel report directly from principal's page*
o Log in now goes to bonds requiring attention if any

* These features are PCL specific due to hard coded values of various database record ids.
