As a collection specifically designed to meet the needs of today’s academic researchers, all blogs in ACI are individually curated by researchers with expertise in that blog’s topic or field of study, and rigorous quality assurance checks ensure only the highest standards in data quality and blog content. ACI Blog Index for Search Engines provides authoritative blog content from scholars in all academic fields, conveniently integrated into Google and Google Scholar.

Once enabled, ACI Blog Index for Search Engines will add search results from ACI to your Google and Google Scholar searches. Blog articles from the ACI collection are displayed unobtrusively, inline with results from Google with support for many of the filters and advanced searching options that can be applied to your Google searches.

Advanced Search
===============

Many advanced search filters available in Google and Google Scholar are also applied to the ACI search results. For example date ranges, author names, and excluded terms will also apply to the ACI search results. When an unsupported filter is applied the extension will not attempt to search or display results from ACI.

Languages
=========

Regional Google Search domains such as google.es are supported. The ACI search results will be filtered by whichever language you choose to filter Google results; there may be limited material available for certain languages though we are constantly striving to expand the ACI blog collection.

Privacy
=======

ACI Blog Index for Search Engines augments your Google and Google Scholar searches with results from scholar.aci.info or your institution's ACI portal. To provide this service, the browser extension uses your Google search and Google Scholar search queries to provide search results from ACI via a secure HTTPS connection.

ACI Blog Index for Search Engines collects analytics for the purpose of long-term product improvement. Google search and Google Scholar search pageviews are tracked as well as click interactions with the results provided by ACI. Google results, clicks on Google results, and pageviews beyond the first page of search results are not tracked by ACI. Analytics recorded by the browser extension anonymize IP addresses, do not include personally identifiable information, and are not linked with your ACI or Google accounts. ACI Blog Index for Search Engines allows aci.info to detect which version number is installed.

Any unexpected errors within the browser extension are reported anonymously to ACI for product improvement. ACI search API logs are retained for up to 30 days.

ACI Blog Index for Search Engines will not collect long-term analytics for users with Do Not Track enabled. The ACI search API will be used to provide search results and unexpected errors will be tracked regardless of the Do Not Track setting.
