In 2001, she was known as the wife of Denzel Washington in the film Training Day. In 2003, she played roles in films such as "The Mexican Past", "Speed and Passion 2", and "Bringing Brothers". In 2005, she and Will Smith starred in the love light comedy "National Enemy." In 2007, she and Nicholas Cage starred in "The Soul Chariot". In 2009, she joined Werner Herzog's "Bad Lieutenant" and once again joined Nicolas Cage. In 2011, Eva Mendes fell in love with Ryan Gosling. In 2013, she and Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper starred in "The Pines".
