Description

Easily reveal hashed values from Logentries' DataHub on your local browser with a single click

Logentries' Data Lock extension works seamlessly with Logentries DataHub, enabling users with need-to-know roles to "unlock" hashed values for easy search and analysis.

Hosted on-premises, Logentries DataHub compliments Logentries' cloud platform by automatically detecting and obfuscating specific data patterns indicated by the user before being sent to Logentries. This level of DataHub filtering provides an additional layer of security and protection by assuring no sensitive log data leaves a user's network. But what if an admin-level user needs to know the value of an obfuscated piece of data? Logentrie's Data Lock extension is a free tool for locally unlocking hashed values as needed.

Users will need an instance of Logentries DataHub configured to store filtered data in a local database. Once the Logentries Data Lock extension is installed, simply sign into Logentries using your DataHub username and password. Filtered data will appear as underlined with lock and magnifying glass icons next to it. Simply clicking the log icon will unlock all matching hashes, revealing their original values. To search for the corresponding hash value in Logentries, simply click the magnifying glass.

Using Logentries' Data Lock, you can now use hashed values for

Live tail search
Assigning custom tags
Building data visualization
Creating real-time alerts
And more

What has inspired us?

Extore is a team of professionals who are passionate about creating extensions for web browsers. This devotion also gives us opportunity to appreciate work of other people. We get inspired by useful, open source extensions made by developers all over the world. Our strong belief is that one should share helpful add-ons with others. That’s why we’d like to present you our ever-growing list of favourite extensions that have inspired us. Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
