Description

Add-on for Google Docs to display a Character Bible on a side pane. Users can add character bible items according to category and use them for reference later while writing. The pane also searches the document for instances of each item.

Maintaining a story bible can be difficult. Either it exists as a section of the document or as a separate document. This makes referencing character names and descriptions difficult and cumbersome. By displaying character bible items on a side pane, they are available while writing and easy to find.

To add a new item, click the Add New Character button, select a category, and add an entry.

To edit a title, click the edit icon next to the title.

To edit an item, find the Bible Item under the correct Category, click on the description, and make changes as needed.

To edit an alias, click on the Alias word.

To delete an item, find the Bible Item under the correct Category, click on the trash icon, and confirm. Note: Javascript Alerts must be enabled for google docs.

To search an item, find the Bible Item under the correct Category and click on its title or one of its aliases. The google doc will select the next instance of the item.
