If you are a Sri Lankan, then you can use this extension to check whether your details are correctly registered with the Department of Elections for the upcoming presidential election. What's more, this allows you to see some hidden information which are not directly exposed via the official site! Enjoy :)
How to use:
1. Enter your National Identity Card (NIC) number and click Next. This has to be entered with the suffixed letter.
2. Now select your district from the drop down list.
3. Click GO and give it some time to download your details. Mind you, the official site is insanely slow, so it is quite normal if it takes a lifetime to load.
4. Your details will be shown on a new tab. If it says 'Try Again', do that :)
5. Click the 3 dots if you want to change your input while it is downloading the details.
6. If this says 'Website Down' that means either it took too long than anticipated to load the details or simply it got stuck in the middle or worst case the official site is actually down. So do try again in a while to see whether the error goes away...
