The Bharat-Rakshak.com web portal, as visitors may note is one of the oldest - if not the oldest web portal devoted to the Indian Armed Forces. Started sometime around 1997, the site is still going strong after 22 years. Just look up when the domain was first created - 1997-05-08!
The database consists of over 30,000 individual officer details, 4800 awards, 2000 accidents and 5000+ serials. And more coming every day!
Note: All the data available via this tool is publicly available in the Gazette of India, published by the Indian Government, or from public domain sources, press releases about Awards and Right-To-Information (RTI) Requests. Additionally data shared by veterans is added to the page with permission. No data with respect to serving officers below the rank of AVM is displayed. Information in Gazette of India and Award citations and photographs as released by the Indian Air Force are the only details displayed.

Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
