Flookup

Description

Flookup is an advanced tool for fuzzy matching (also called approximate string matching) in Google Sheets. With Flookup, you can easily search for text, and highlight or delete duplicate values, regardless of whether they are exact matches, partial matches or typos.

The core functions of Flookup are:
1. FLOOKUP: It searches for strings in vertically structured data, based on percentage similarity. Matches for each lookup value are returned in order of descending percentage similarity.
2. HFLOOKUP: It searches for strings in horizontally structured data, based on percentage similarity. Matches for each lookup value are returned in order of descending percentage similarity.
3. SOUNDMATCH: It searches for strings based on sound (as pronounced in English) in vertically structured data. Matches for each lookup value are returned in alphabetical order (A-Z).
4. FUZZYMATCH: It calculates the percentage similarity between two strings. It can also calculate the percentage similarity between concatenated strings.
5. ULIST: It returns unique values from a specified range based on percentage similarity.
6. SUMLOOKUP: Merges or sums corresponding partial matches from a single column.
7. MEANLOOKUP: Calculates the average of corresponding partial matches from a single column.
8. NORMALIZE: It removes diacritical marks from any string. This is especially useful if applied before using any of the functions mentioned above.
