GenAlt works by right-clicking on an image, and then selecting on the image to get a caption. All you have to do is wait a little bit (should be less than 15 seconds in most cases) for an image description.
Sighted users can also write captions for images so that those requesting captions can receive hand-written, not AI, captions ("Add Hand-Written Captions")!
