This extension provides the following functionalities to improve the user's tab usage:
- Keeps basic statistics about tab usage.
- Saves memory resources by suspending inactive tabs.
- Allows to close all the inactive tabs.
If the user gives consent, the extension also reports these tab usage stats to researchers for a study on Chrome user's tab usage. More precisely, the data that are being collected are:
- tabid: a number that identifies a tab within a browser session.
- event: whether the tab has been created/destroyed/updated/loaded.
- time offset: the time from the last tab event.
In any case the extension collects private information such as the URL or the content of the pages visited by the users.
