MusiCan® Classic 1 (suitable for ages 4-6) introduces learners to basic music concepts.
It covers:

Focused listening is emphasized, both for its sheer enjoyment potential and for its essential role in composing and performing. The learner is encouraged to listen with attention to sounds in the environment and gradually to become aware of how sound is organized in music. Performance incorporates a balance of singing and instrumental playing of his/her own work and the work of others. Movement activities provide the learner with opportunities to organize and develop their natural enjoyment of expressive movement in dance form. They are encouraged to explore and experiment with a variety of body movements and to communicate a range of moods and feelings.

Each module contains one lesson plan which is further subdivided into six sessions, with each session giving early years practitioners 20-30 minutes of teaching activities. No prior knowledge of music is needed and key musical terms or concepts are fully explained. The lesson plans have been specifically designed to cater for non-specialist and specialist early practitioners and are suitable for small or large groups.
