The Arweave test network web extension and client.

Arweave is a de-centralised internet archive inside a scaling cryptocurrency, currently in development. This web extension allows users that have pre-purchased an Arweave token wallet to queue web pages to be stored on the system, after it has launched.

Whilst the internet has revolutionised the way in which journalists, politicians and companies reach their audiences, it has also proved to be highly vulnerable to censorship. With Arweave in place, it would no longer be possible for documents and politically sensitive news to be censored at the whim of any group or individual.

In order to scale to the necessary sizes, Arweave uses a novel blockchain-like data structure called a blockweave, which incentivises miners in the system to self-organise long-term data storage.

Arweave also allows developers to build applications that make use of the network's de-centralised, uncensorable and permanent data storage system. On top of this, Arweave allows developers to build apps that receive a live-feed of hand-curated documents of interest from the internet.
