The Walking Stick is a Google Chrome Browser Web Extension which aids the elderly in browsing and using popular websites. We have great features that make our service different from anything else out there.
1) We walkthrough the different popular sites & you control the speed at which you learn! For this Beta version you will be able to walkthrough the Google Homepage and learn the various functions of the buttons on the page. By the end of the simple walkthrough you will be able to effectively use the Google search bar.
2) We have two options of the web extension. One in Walkthrough mode which assists you step by step, or a do it yourself option with hints at any time you feel lost. We have especially designed memory retention exercises and interfaces included within this extension.
3) Say you know the technology pretty well but want a brief brush up on how to perform a different task. We will have a command bar that will search the web for your results and guide you in the right direction. Options 2 and 3 will be included within our next version scheduled to release in the early weeks of august.
