YouTube is an excellent resource for learning and entertaining. But it can also be a distraction. While it's easy to block all of YouTube, or to block much objectionable content using YouTube restricted mode, it would be nice to be able to restrict the set of videos that can be viewed to a small set, rather than the entirety (or near entirety) of YouTube.
Video Safelist allows an administrator to define a set of YouTube videos that are permitted for viewing.
When the extension operates in an unlocked mode, any YouTube video can be added to the list, or a previously added video can be removed. The list of videos can be exported to a CSV file, and then later imported to the same or a different computer using the extension. When in locked mode, only those videos that have previously been approved are available for viewing. Any other videos are blocked when the user attempts to view them. A password is required to return to unlocked mode.
Videos can be added by clicking the Add video to safelist button or, for faster adding, the shortcut keys of Ctrl+Shift+A may be used.
Extore is a team of professionals who are passionate about creating extensions for web browsers. This devotion also gives us opportunity to appreciate work of other people. We get inspired by useful, open source extensions made by developers all over the world. Our strong belief is that one should share helpful add-ons with others. That’s why we’d like to present you our ever-growing list of favourite extensions that have inspired us. Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
