Fakat klasik diode lazerden oldukça farklı bir şekilde lazer enerjisini uygulama yapılan bölgeye saniyenin altında ve çok kısa sürelerde bölerek göndermektedir. Sahip olduğu bu hız ve teknoloji sayesinde hasta cildinde oluşabilecek komplikasyonlar minimize olur ve acı hissini azaltır. Cihazın isminde de buz adının geçmesinin ana sebebi yapılan handpiece (el aleti) kendi kendini soğutan bir özelliği vardır ve cilde temas ederken bu soğukluk cildin çok ısınmamasına neden olur.
