Manchester City Football Club is a Manchester-based football club founded in 1880 as St. Mark's (West Gorton). The club became the Ardwick Association Football Club in 1887 before taking its current name in 1894. Nicknamed City, The Citizens, or The Sky Blues, the professional team has been playing at the City of Manchester Stadium since 2003. The Manchester Derby crystallizes the rivalry between the two big clubs of the city, Manchester City and Manchester United. The motto Superbia in proelio, written in Latin on the club's coat of arms, means "Pride in battle".
