A sail boat is a sailboat (pieces of cloth), propelled by the force of the wind. Historically, the sailboat has been the first medium and long distance means of transportation. The sailboats carried the goods, the passengers, the mail. They were used for sea fishing, military activities and naval battles.
From the Industrial Revolution of the nineteenth century, sailing propulsion gradually disappears for utility transport, replaced by steam boats and motor boats.
