Most Meta Apps can be referred to Friends by those who have bought them (Advocates) in certain regions (UK, parts of US, ES, NL and KR so far). In doing so, the Friend receives a 25% discount, and the Advocate receives some credit in their own account.
The purpose of this Extension is simply to connect Friends and Advocates so they can both benefit easily, rather than attempting to find people on forums or other venues.
By installing the Extension, you should be able to see the `Get 25% discount!` message as one of the options when browsing a Meta App. On clicking, it would redirect you to the discount directly.
This extension is open-source ( https://github.com/meta-dog/meta-leash ) and uses an open-source backend-server ( https://github.com/meta-dog/meta-bones ) to run a lottery system of which Advocate's referral you're getting, to ensure that the share is fair. Anyone can register their own referral links as Advocate, and anyone can visit the website to become a Friend and receive specific Meta App referrals quickly.
There is no fee for using either the extension or the backend, and no registration is needed. There are also no ads in either the site, the extension or the backend.
