This extension allows you to specify certain URLs to open in other browsers. If you are in an environment where you want Chrome to be your default web browser, but due to ActiveX or other limitations you need certain web pages to open in Internet Explorer, this extension is the answer.
You can use full URLs, parts of URLs, or even regular expressions to match for complete automation. There is a button to handle the one off scenarios in which you don't want to do it every time and you can even separate parts of a frameset layout.
Currently this extension only supports Internet Explorer, but Firefox and Opera support are coming later. It also requires NPAPI permissions because of limitations in Chrome. Chrome does not allow launching of another app, so the NPAPI plugin bridges that gap but rest assured it can only launch supported browsers and won't touch anything else on the system. This is why it says it can request "All data on your computer and the websites you visit".
Windows 8 Users - Chrome "removed" support for the above mentioned NPAPI plugins on Windows 8, however if you set Chrome to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode you can still use this. I'm not sure what impact this will or won't have on Metro mode.
