Blank New Tab Page with Bookmarks Bar

Description

For those that want a completely blank New Tab page without any content, but want to retain the New Tab Bookmarks Bar functionality.

NOTICE: This extension will not work if your browser uses the "local new tab page" (local NTP) at "chrome-search://local-ntp/local-ntp.html" - You can tell if you're using the local NTP as it does not have the Profile, Gmail, Images, and other Google links in the upper-right, or the Voice (mic) search button.

This extension requires that you have Google set as your Default search engine in Settings.

BOOKMARKS BAR
Normally, Chrome displays the Bookmarks Bar on the New Tab page if you have "Show Bookmarks Bar" set to off in Chrome Bookmarks Settings. This extension keeps this functionality. If you want an entirely blank New Tab page that does not show a Bookmarks Bar, please install this extension instead:
