Net iD client for Chrome OS is an extension using Google's Smart Card Connector app to connect to any CCID compatible smart card reader or YubiKey.
Net iD client for Chrome OS supports a large number of smart cards and smart card profiles such as
- MCA/Efos cards
- SITHS cards (used by Swedish county councils, municipalities, and in private healthcare)
- Swedish and Finnish Citizen cards
- Cards from Gemalto, Oberthur, Buypass
- PIV on YubiKey
With Net iD client for Chrome OS you can use your smart card or YubiKey to logon to sites using mutual TLS if the site trusts your certificate.
Remember: Net iD client for Chrome OS requires that you install the Google's Smart Card Connector app.
