The Web Of Trust (WOT) add-on is a tool for assessing the reputation of websites, helping users understand whether to trust a particular site when searching, surfing or shopping on the Internet.
HOW WOT WORKS
After installing WOT next to the search results, the indicator of the site's reputation appears in the form of "traffic lights": green - "good", red - "danger" and yellow - "cautiously!". The same icon is displayed next to links in social networks, on the pages of mail services and other popular sites. Clicking on the icon, you will learn more information about the reputation and security of the site, as well as see reviews of users. Green "signal" means that users rated the site as reliable and trustworthy. Red warns of potential online threats, and yellow reports that when you visit the site you need to be careful.
