Paranoia Password Manager(PPM) is a secure password management extension.
NOTE: This extension needs to be configured with your own private password manager server. If you need a password manager that can be installed and used without further ado, this is not the one.
PPM is different from other password management applications in the way that it allows you to configure and use a private server(apache+php+mysql) to store your data. The sensitive data on the server is stored encrypted with the encryption scheme and master key defined by you. This data is only downloaded and decrypted on the local machine when you explicitly request it (like when you fill-in username/password).
Another feature of PPM is that you can use regular expressions to define which passcards will match which url. It is a very powerful feature.
The support site has an in depth installation manual and a documentation section where you can find out more about PPM.
NOTE#2: The old support site(http://paranoia.alfazeta.com) is on the move! The new support site, where together with other projects, we are able to monitor better your requests or bug reports is: http://dev.alfazeta.com.
NOTE#3: You can download the server side package at: http://dev.alfazeta.com/resources/paranoia-password-manager-for-google-chrome-server-side-package
NOTE#3: At the moment this extension is only in English.
Enjoy!
Extore is a team of professionals who are passionate about creating extensions for web browsers. This devotion also gives us opportunity to appreciate work of other people. We get inspired by useful, open source extensions made by developers all over the world. Our strong belief is that one should share helpful add-ons with others. That’s why we’d like to present you our ever-growing list of favourite extensions that have inspired us. Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
