Find My Vaccine

Description

Find My Vaccine reduces the hassle of tracking down vaccine appointment availability by searching thousands of pharmacy locations across the country!

It monitors Albertsons (Safeway, Vons), Costco, CVS, Kroger / Ralphs, Riteaid, Walgreens and Walmart websites in the background to check if an appointment is available within 25 miles of your zip code. If it finds one, it will show you a visual notification and attempt to text you (Max of 1 text per day; best effort). You just need to keep your browser open and connected to the internet.

How to use:
* Install the extension
* Click on the extension icon
* Enter your zip code [The extension will search for valid appointments within a 25 mile radius of this]
* (Optional) Enter your mobile number to get a text alert if an appointment is found [Best effort delivery, max 1 per day]
* Hit "Save" and ensure the status bar shows "Searching near ..."
* Leave your browser open and connected to the internet

How it works:
* The extension will open 5 tabs and pin them to put them off to the side
* It will periodically check these sites every 30 mins for available appointments
* If you close the tabs, the extension will open new ones the next time it tries

If an appointment is found, the extension will show a browser notification, change the extension badge to an "!" and will attempt to send 1 text alert per day

If an appointment is not found but the extension is running checks, it will show a blue badge over the extension icon

You can check the last check result anytime by clicking on the extension and scrolling to the bottom

If you want to stop the checks, click the extension and hit "Stop". The status message will say "Not running".

Text message notifications are best effort only. This extension uses a free service, which has a limit of 1 text message per internet connection per day and the service may not always be operational.

The extension leverages VaccineSpotter.org data for Costco & Walmart. It does direct searches for most other pharmacies.
