The word "anime" was first used in formal occasions. It was the first issue of the anime news monthly magazine "Anime Age" published in November 1998. This term was later spread through the magazine "Man Friends", and its use in the mainland of China began to spread.
The combination of "anime" is mainly due to the close connection between the animation and comic industry in Japan. Therefore, in the process of Japanese animation and comics spreading in China, there has been a magazine that combines Japanese animation and comics consultations such as "Anime Age". Therefore, "Anime" was first used mainly by Japanese anime fans to refer to Japanese animation and comics. But with the development of the Chinese animation and comics industry, the occasions used to refer to Chinese animation and comics have increased.
