Some bulletin boards, chats and social networks do not allow user to format text. But almost all of them are working with Unicode. This extension allows to emulate some text formatting using Unicode combining symbols and quickly insert some useful symbols that are hard to enter via keyboard.
This extension has three groups of actions: modifications, wrappers and insertions. Modifications are applied to selected text, to every its character. Wrappers insert the specified fragments before and after selected text. Insertions obviously insert the text into caret position.
This extensions has thee methods of performing these actions: popup window, context menu and hot keys.
It also has a typographic auto-correction mode, that replaces minus sign (-) with dash (–) and simple quotes ("") with typographic ones («») when you type. This mode can be switched on and off with one click or hotkey.
Modifications, wrappers, insertions and hot keys mapping are easily configurable.
