Description

The PDFfiller Google Chrome extension enables you to make PDF writable in the PDFfiller editor with one click. Save time by eliminating the need to download attachments, save and search for files, or upload documents to your account!

Simply click the “Fill” button when it appears on an email attachment or online, and an writable version of the PDF will instantly open in the PDFfiller editor ready for you to add text and writable fields for various types of data.

To write on and add text to your document, click the “Text” button and start typing. You can place text by moving the text box.

To create writable fields, click the “Add Fillable Fields” tab on the right; there you will be able to add writable fields for text, numbers, signatures, dates, and photos.

To add a text field, click the “Text” icon, then click the document to place the field. You can move the field around by clicking and dragging it, resize by dragging the dots around the edges, and delete a field by clicking the trash can. All field types can be moved, resized, or deleted this way.

You can add hints or instructions for each field, and they will appear whenever a user mouses over or selects that field when filling the document.

Any text field can be marked as “Required”, and a warning will appear to anyone filling the form if they attempt to submit it to you with an empty required field.

To add a number field, click the “Number” icon, then click the document to place it. Number fields can be customized just like a text field.

To add a checkbox field, select the checkbox option and click the document to place it. When you resize a checkbox field, any additional checkboxes you add will automatically adopt the new size so you do not have to resize each one.

To add a signature field, click the “Signature” icon, then click the document to place it.

To add a date field, click the “Date” icon, then click the document to place it. By default, the date field will display the date it was added to the document, but can be changed unless the field is locked.

To add a photo field, click the “Photo” icon, then click the document to place it.

You can rearrange the order in which users navigate the fields by clicking the “Order” tab and dragging the fields into the desired order.

When you’re done with adding writable fields, click “Save” at the top of the page, and you can then fill or share the document.

With the new PDFfiller Google Chrome extension, making PDF writable from the web in PDFfiller has never been easier! In addition, you can search, edit, sign or export your forms through email or fax using PDFfiller's robust features.

***Please note that you must register for a free PDFfiller account to save your edited document (your original will remain in Google Drive), and a paid subscription is required to use some PDFfiller features.***

What has inspired us?

Extore is a team of professionals who are passionate about creating extensions for web browsers. This devotion also gives us opportunity to appreciate work of other people. We get inspired by useful, open source extensions made by developers all over the world. Our strong belief is that one should share helpful add-ons with others. That’s why we’d like to present you our ever-growing list of favourite extensions that have inspired us. Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
