MetaMask Institutional is an extension for accessing Dapps and DeFi protocols from your browser on Ethereum Mainnet. It allows funds and investors the ability to meet their operational and security requirements by retaining their private keys under custody.
The extension injects the Ethereum web3 API into every website's javascript context so that Dapps can read from the blockchain. This gives users access to the latest Dapps with the most used and trusted wallet within DeFi. MetaMask Institutional is also integrated with the custodian Curv. Allowing investors to fulfil their pre-trade compliance requirements. Curv provides multi-signature approvals, smart contract whitelisting and wallet and transaction rule setting.
Investors initiate and confirm transactions via the extension, and sign and approve the transaction from their Curv Desktop application.
Because it adds functionality to the normal browser context, MetaMask Institutional requires permission to read and write to any webpage.
