This Web browser extension is an experimental tool for the detection of learning activities among the user's browsing history. It is being produced by the Analytics for Everyday Learning (AFEL) Research Project (EU Horizon 2020 grant agreement No. 687916).
The extension requires a free registration of an account to the AFEL Data Platform. When activated, it captures new page visits, packages them in RDF format and pushes them to the AFEL Data Platform using a private key that restricts access to those data to that user and the scientific team of the AFEL Consortium, see http://afel-project.eu/contact/ for details. These data are then used to populate a personalised dashboard of the user's online activities (currently experimental and under active development) to detect, assess and provide guidance for any learning activities that are part of the user's browsing history.
User data are collected anonymously, as the only handle that is used to track the user is their username on the AFEL Data Platform, and users are not required to state their full name when creating an account.

Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
