Omar Khayyam was a Persian mathematician, astronomer, and poet. There is a collection of poetry attributed to him, written in the form of quatrains (Rubayiat). This poetry became widely known to the English-reading world in a translation by Edward FitzGerald.
His philosophy and viewpoint of the world is unique to himself, and is beautifully written in his exemplary words.
