La regularidad de la pronunciación de las vocales en el idioma español proporciona una gran ventaja a la hora de expresar (leer) en voz alta un texto escrito. Cada vocal sonará siempre de la misma manera, no importando la palabra de la que forme parte. Esto hace relativamente fácil la pronunciación al leer un texto en nuestro idioma. Como siempre ocurre, hay algunas excepciones, como es el caso de la letra u, que pasa a ser muda cuando forma parte de la palabra Raquel.
Latiñol contiene una serie de reglas que simplifican la escritura del castellano y esta extensión traduce todos los textos de una página según estas reglas.
