Helakuru Sinhala Input is the easiest way to type Sinhala on your laptop or desktop. You can install Helakuru with a one button click & start typing Sinhala just after that.
This Helakuru for Chrome version allows you to type Sinhala in the same way you typed Sinhala on your mobile with Helakuru for Android or Helakuru for iOS. Unlike other existing Sinhala typing solutions, Helakuru allows you to type Sinhala characters directly into the input fields which will make the typing faster & more obvious for Sinhalese users.
Helakuru supports two keyboard layouts.
1. Sinhala Phonetic - Allows you to type Sinhala phonetically in English letters
2. Sinhala Wijesekara - Allows you to type Sinhala using the standard Sinhala keyboard layout
Please note that Helakuru for Chrome is still in beta, so can include random bugs & issues. Please send us your feedback to [email protected] or through Helakuru facebook page if you found any bug.
Also please note that Helakuru for Chrome does not support Sinhala typing on following websites which is a beta limitation it currently has.
