A short link will be created from the longer url that is shown in your active tab. This link can then be used where needed to link back to the long url. This can be very useful when there is a character limit, such as twitter or just to make a block of text more readable. The link will not expire. There is no need to have an account with https://pnut.co, anybody can use the service. If you would like to see more detailed link metrics then an account is required but it is free to sign up.
This extension also provides a QR code for you to use that contains the short link so this can be scanned and it will take you to the original URL link.
