Have you ever been browsing on your computer and found a link you wanted to text to someone, but then had to go through the rigmarole of emailing the link to yourself, opening the email on your phone, then sharing the link from there? Did you wish there was an easier way to share something you found on your computer with your phone?
Now there is! DeskTexter is a solution for easily sharing text-based content you find on your computer browser via your phone. DeskTexter has two parts: this browser extension, and a mobile app. Just install the extension on your browser, install the app on your mobile device, log in to both using the same Google account, and you will be all set up!
From the DeskTexter browser extension, you will be able to send any page's URL, or any selected text, to the DeskTexter mobile app with the click of a button. You will then receive a notification on your phone indicating the content has been received. Tap the notification or open the app directly to share the content how ever you like.
After DeskTexter is installed on your browser, log in by clicking the DeskTexter icon located to the right of the address bar. Once logged in, you can share any page's URL by clicking the DeskTexter icon. You can also share any text from within the page by highlighting it, right-clicking the selection, then clicking "Send selection" from the available DeskTexter menu.
